Why one should do Sacred Pilgrimage Yatras?

The PANCH KEDAR Temple is a shrine of Lord Vishnu, and it is part of Chota Char Dham and 4 Dham of India.

Traditionally, the Chardham yatra is undertaken from the west to the east, thus, the yatra starts from Yamunotri, then proceeding to Gangotri and finally to Kedarnath and PANCH KEDAR. Pilgrims traditionally first visit Yamunotri and Gangotri and bring with them the holy waters from the sources of the rivers Yamuna and Ganga and offer abhishekams to Kedareshwara. Char Dhams of Uttarakhand are also known as Chota Char Dham of India.

Essential items for your Four Dham Yatra: Stay prepared with the right gear, clothing, and essentials to ensure a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching journey in 2025.

• Carry a kit of the basic emergency medicines.
• Use bottled water during the trip.
• Eat food which is boiled, cooked, or fried.
• Carry a mosquito/insect repellent and sunscreen cream.
• Ensure you are physically and mentally fit to perform the journey as the Yatra involves trekking at an altitude of 14,000 ft.
• At least a month before the Yatra, it is advisable to start preparatory exercises.

Yamunotri Dham

The Yamunotri Temple is a shrine of Goddess Yamuna, and it is part of Chota Char Dham and 4 Dham of India.

Yamunotri temple has been closed for winter and will reopen on 04 May 2025. The official announcement of the opening date of Yamunotri Temple for 2025 was made on 2nd February 2025 on Basant Panchami by Raj Purohit.
